Two Sides Clash in Times Square Over Gaza Conflict

Hundreds of pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel demonstrators traded dueling chants in Times Square Sunday as the conflict in Gaza stirred strong emotions in the streets of New York, reported NYCity News Service’s Briggette Sayegh and Sarah Kazadi. As signs and flags waved on both sides of the busy intersection, the groups hurled comments at each other across cars and police officers. Demonstrators spilled onto the street, getting in the way of traffic before being pushed back onto the sidewalk by police.

I met those two girls and they screamed, yleled and attacked my dog with her umbrella!! I was just sitting in the the park (which I was informed later that dogs were not allowed in the park, very politely may I add) and after the ran off swearing their 13 year old heads off, I got into a conversation with a nice man who ranted on about how the world is falling apart and how kids like that will end up killing someone, or in jail! He never commented once on my dog Rocko, a mutt who looked like a dingo! Thanks IE! I had a great time in NY while on my trip from Toronto, Canada.
